Downloaded, installed and activated fine on Win 7 Ult x64. Nice GUI with lots of features. However, tried two different times to burn dvd video. Both times, each with different movies, it failed with the error log below.

I had burned both video files earlier with a different software without any problem. I later found that the issue was with the programs navigational abilities or, should I say, lack thereof. It did not allow for the expanding of folders when navigating to the video files to be burned. I copied and pasted the Video_TS folder to the desktop and was then able to navigate to the files and burn the DVD. I will say the program is light on resources which is a huge plus. Most all DVD burning software eat away at resources. Doesn't matter what your computer specs are. Nevertheless, the software does not author which is a major set back. In fact, it instructs the user to use a different software to author prior to burning. I cannot imagine why I would want to have one software for authoring and another for burning when I can get one software that does it all. I will say that burning was fast. Very fast. Less than 5 minutes to burn an almost 2 hour movie and cpu never went above 14% even with other programs running at the same time. The DVD authoring issue will eventually be a non-issue since most newer DVD players now support Mpeg rather than VOB. That may be a while though. Moreover, burning DVD movies to disc is also phasing out. Most flat screen panel tv's have usb ports. Movies can be placed on the usb then played, erased when done and a new movie put on it. A great feature since 8GB thumb drives are less than $10 and can be used over and over and over again unlike DVD RW. Those do have limits and loose quality over time.

Not sure if I will keep it or not to be honest. I can do all the things with ImgBurn (free) that I can do with this. I will probably play with some of the other features then uninstall.

Thanks for the offer but, it's too early not to support authoring. And, you need to work on the navigational abilities.

My Ad-Aware lit up when I went to visit the AVMedia website.

It's set at a higher level of security that protects me with online purchases from less than reputable vendors. Not necessarily a big deal since I don't know the criteria which got them black listed. I changed my settings and checked it out.

• Fake awards - In my opinion, a 5 Cow award means something special. There is plenty of great software that only got 3 or 4. AVMedia claims they got a 5. The problem is that not a single program from their site exists on tucows that I can find (please correct me if I'm wrong)
So Next big player on the list - CNET Editor's Chioce (a hefty claim) - Not a single program from these folks on their site either.

So I do two Internet Searches - Bing and Yahoo. AVMediaSoft products are only featured on a few obscure sites - and giving them the benefit of the doubt I checked the link to Windows7Downloads: 5 users gave it a decent rating

Sorry AVMediaSoft, if I would have just loaded your program, I would be suffering an anxiety attack about what the heck I just put in my computer after that degree of deception (again, please correct me if I'm wrong)

This "US" company does not exist, and the address is not a real address anywhere the greater New York City area according to Google Maps and Mapquest. There is a 200 block for Fisher Avenue on Staten Island - not even close. Perhaps I shall call Mr. Bennett tomorrow.

av burning pro 4.5.1 is downloaded, installed, and activated without any error on my desktop computer running windows 7 home premium x64 (intel pentium dual core e5400 processor, 4gb ddr2-800 ram, 500gb sata 3gbps hitachi hdd, nvidia 9500gt 1gb video card)

the installed program launches fast informs that there are only 9 remaining launches if not activated.


the program is minimalist and fast like imageburn (free).

the program has many components like audio grabber, isoburner, vcd and dvd creator, and device info component which displays the supported media types of my samsung dvd-rewriter.

as i don't have any blu-ray writer, i was not able to test blu-ray write.

i will try to dvd-burn other media types later.

if the program works as advertised, then the avp burning pro is a keeper.

Ok... After further review and in addition to my comment above, the iso creation feature simply doesn't work properly. I tried several different files compilations. None of which were produced in iso format even though it said completed successfully. When right clicking on the output file there is no file type listed and no option to change the program the file is opened with. I attempted to load the alleged image with ImgBurn and the file was not recognized.

I am not new to iso images by any means. I am a computer tech and use iso images almost daily to install Windows and other software. I sometimes build them from scratch. Some are bootable and others are not. I never have a problem when using ImgBurn to build the iso. This is a major setback to your software.
