First of all, #1 is wrong. This converter DOES have drag and drop.
Secondly, "best video converter in the world" is an outright lie.
Most video converters do exactly the same thing, look the same, perform the same, etc.
This one can't merge files, gobbles up 1.5gigs of ram when I drag and drop a format it doesn't recognise, doesn't allow multiple trims of the same video, doesn't have a lossless option, doesn't have side-by side input/output videos, you cant have different items in the queue with different output formats, when aborting a conversion it deletes the partially converted file and you can't turn off the preview-while-encoding feature. There are many easily acquired better converters out there.
But if you only want to convert files between fortmats and not play with them, this one will do what you want it to. It is very fast and reliable at simple conversions, and quite user friendly.
The "best video converter in the world" doesn't utilize GPU-accelerated encoding, eh?
Firstly I apologize to the community for posting the following. I just feel it only fair that I am allowed to reply to what I believe should never have passed moderation in the first place in particular to one member after they mentioned my name for no good reason so, unless you are 'Nothing is free' please don't read on unless you want to :).............
Hi Nothing is Free,
I rarely bother to post comments in this section even though I test virtually every giveaway and more often than not post lots of suggestions that is apart from the game giveaway sectionand if I did post it's only once I've tested the software so I don't think I've ever been the first to comment; so why you think I get the first comment in and why you have to mention it at all is a mystery? As to my suggestions being pre-loaded, that's absurd. I'm not able to do that as I don't have access to the admin panel in the giveaway section. I'm just a normal user with no moderation privilege's. so my suggestions are posted once the giveaway is made available.
I have noticed a few community members who don't like that I post lots of suggestions via the idea informer above. Why they are so unhappy about it I cannot fathom as all I'm doing is trying to help the developers with ideas that may improve their product. I actually enjoy doing this as I need something to fill my days ( most of the community already know that I'm house bound, so this is one way for me to make myself feel useful). What I find annoying is community members who don't bother to take the time to post ideas themselves and tend only to post unreasonable comments complaining about other community members .
I always download the giveaways I make suggestions for as soon as they become available. It just so happens that we get the giveaway here in the UK at an ideal time as I've usually been up for some time already, so find sitting down and checking the giveaway quite relaxing. I install then check each giveaway over and make suggestion as and when I see something that I'd like to see that's missing or if there is something not quite right.
I don't always make valid suggestions but more often than not I must be doing something right because I seen to have gained quite a lot of life time licenses for loads of software given away here and offered through the idea informer for making valid suggestions. Oddly, when those offers are on I tend not to post as many suggestions because generally I don't particularity need that software so don't want to swamp the informer; otherwise it may exclude others from posting useful suggestions. That said, ultimately it's up to the developer to check through all of the ideas and choose what they think is valid, as some have done in the past. I know of at least one user who only got a few votes for their suggestion and still won a decent piece of software despite other community members having loads more votes each for their suggestions.
Addendum to my original post:
Initially when I tested todays software I wasn't able to drag and drop videos into the preview panel, but thanks to Drake who said you could I tried again and it did work; so I was wrong to say there was no Drag & Drop.
I really don't know why didn't work the first time; maybe I was rushing, because I was also writing up today's game giveaway review in between testing todays giveaway. Anyway I obviously made a simple mistake.
Overall this is not a bad video converter. I converted three home videos that were que'd to my choice of video format and they took less than 30 seconds to convert.
When changing the quality settings and increasing the size of the output window, very little noise was added to the converted videos, though it would be nice to see a noise filter included with the package to ensure that the quality remains the same.
I wish the developer would not say they are the best as to be honest this is always a matter of opinion. some will like this converter others will probably think it's not so good.
Overall I'm quite pleased with this video converter; it has everything I need for my home video conversion.
The GUI could also do with a make over. Add some skins so that users can choose the color and perhaps some more contemporary skins to give the appearance of something a little more up to date.
As it stands I'd consider purchasing an upgradeable license if the above were added to the mix.
Thank you to AnneVideo and the giveaway team for this giveaway; much appreciated.
Format factory does this and more, and it`s free.

Personnellement, je passe mon tour, mais merci quand même à Giveaway of the day.
