Prety good software that does its job pretty well and without any hassle.
Actually I believe that this program is nowadays one of the best and cheaper alternative to NERO, althogh this GAOTD does not refer to the best and most advanced version of this program (Ashampoo Burning Studio 11).
However, I was just wondering why one should pay 50 bucks for a software like this GAOTD if you can do the same things and even more by using award-winning freeware burning software like ImgBurn (my personal First Choice), (Portable) Infrarecorder and/or (Portable) CDBurnerXP, StarBurn....just to mention some of them!!!

LOL...Can somebody tell me what’s the main difference between today’s giveaway (FREE here for 24 hours only with the update limitation) and ASHAMPOO BURNING STUDIO ADVANCED FREE 2012 (always FREE and UPDATABLE) ???
Honestly I can’t see any remarkable difference between the two software, except the PRICE of course....LOL!!
So why give it away for free here just for 24 hours if there is a CLONE version of this program ALWAYS FREE forever? Big mystery!

I've had Ashampoo's products in the past - if you go for this offer, make sure you register with a "throwaway" email address because they spam you mercilessly afterwards.
The software market is awash with PDF printers, registry cleaners and DVD rippers. There are so many CD burning software titles out there, each manufacturer adds more and more bells and whistles to make their product stand out.
Thankfully there are a couple of packages that are not only free, but lightweight. I always recommend 'ImgBurn' for CD burning. Not only is it small (so starts up quickly) but has a great interface and burns files and folders as well as ISO files to CD or DVD.
This software is good, and has some good features, but the developers have made it bigger and more bloated to make it compete in a competitive market. When it comes to software, bigger is not always better.
Wondering why the trial version on their web site is over 3 times larger than the one offered here. Perhaps missing some functionality...
Paying $9.99 to UPGRADE to Burning Studio 11 from within
Burning Studio 2012 sounds kinda crazy. Either last years version is better than this years version (which makes you think that they broke something on purpose and couldn't fix it)or they think that the public is stupid.
I have used Ashampoo products before with no problems but to pay to take a step backwards just don't sound right.
