Some may complain about Ashampoo "extras" (toolbars / homepage hijacks / emails) but if you know how - these can all be avoided.
For some help with installs (and screenshots) on how to avoid these, or how to turn off (aka "Unsubscribe") the emails you will get, all is explained at this link.
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/10636
Incidentally, those people probably won't read this post either - which could explain why they have problems. ;)
Ashampoo usually have good quality software (I have severall of their freebies), but they have to spoil their reputation by atteempting to install toolbars and highjacking homepage. They also want your date of birth along with your e-mail address(yeah right my d.o.b. is 01/01/1900).
DONT USE EXPRESS INSTALLATION.
Instead use CUSTOM INSTALL.
Don't forget to uncheck Toolbar and Homepage highjacking.
As for the software. I have used this before (trial version). I find it very good as it found deleted stuff that other recovery software missed.
So THUMBS UP for UNDELETER 1.10 software
but THUMBS DOWN for acting like a MALWARE product.
This is a pretty good all in one data recovery program and love it as most of software made by Ashampoo.
It can even restore files on partitions with active NTFS encryption, a feature that, as far as I know, most of the recovery data programs out there do not provide to their users at all!!
So THUMBS UP from me!!
And if you don't like receiving spammy messages from them just give them a secondary email address or a disposable email to use in order to grab the key license....what's the problem in doing that??
You guys often drown in an inch of water, behaving like children without their mum....LOL!

So why pay money when something equally as effective or even better is available for free ???
Enjoy!!
Be sure to check the "Advanced Instalation" mode. You want to UNCHECK all the extra Ashampoo 'Toolbar' and 'Default Search' boxes.
:/
I have used this undelete software on my old XP laptop with satifying results. I'm glad I have a chance to install it on my new replacement laptop.
Thumbs up from me...
I'd like to echo everyone praising Ashampoo in these comments. I have quite a collection of their products already, thanks to previous giveaways right here. Although I haven't downloaded or installed today's offering yet, based upon my previous experiences with Ashampoo products, and along with the positive comments posted thus far, I have no doubt that today's offering won't disappoint me either.
With regard to the practice of installing toolbars and "hijacking" browser start pages, whether you like it or not, it's pretty much common practice these days, and I might add that it's being done by some "major players" (hardware manufacturers such as HP, Canon and Lexmark typically use the practice whilst installing the drivers for their printer and multifunction products).
One should be paying close attention during the installation of ANY software product anyway, to ensure that things don't happen that you don't WANT to happen. That goes DOUBLE when filling out forms on the internet - beware of checkboxes in the form that are "pre-checked" when the web page containing the form loads in your browser. Chances are, someone is trying to pull a fast one on you!
This is especially true for any selection that pertains to "receiving news updates and offers from third-party providers." If that box remains checked when you submit that form, you can be certain that the amount of "spam" email you receive is about to skyrocket! (Although those emails really aren't technically "spam" because leaving that checkbox checked when you submit that form is considered to be legal permission for the company to send you commercial emails as often as they see fit!)
In short, leaving just ONE checkbox checked can result in you ending up receiving upwards of HUNDREDS of emails daily, especially if your email address falls into the virtual hands of those good folks that like to offer "fun" in the form of offshore casinos and budget pharmaceuticals!
Thanks once again for your generosity, Ashampoo - and thanks also to GiveawayOfTheDay for facilitating that generosity by being the delivery vehicle for it!
