I have had several versions of Ashampoo WinOptimizer. Ashampoo WinOptimizer 17 is rich in features and really help to clean, repair, and maintain your system. You don't have to get a separate program to defragment your hard drive. That's a big plus. You don't have to worry about a subscription with an expiry date. You can use the program until you decide to get a newer version of it.
I wouldn't do deep registry cleaning which can damage your system. Just use the one-click-optimizer for that.
You will see offered from time to time versions with the title Ashampoo WinOptimizer 2019 or 2020. I would avoid these and get the versions with a number like 17, 18, or 19. These are better.
Dr JJS, Generally speaking those with a 'year' are free versions and those with just a 'number' are paid-for versions. It can be more complicated in that there are also versions with a number prefixed with 'free'.
I don't know if Ashampoo reads these comments or not, but I'm also going to send them feedback. Personally, I think they only need 2 versions, a trial (paid) version and a free version. They should also remove the older versions, some of their apps have 3 or 4 versions, getting rid of the older versions would also make things less confusing as to which to try out or download.

The versions marked with a year number are the somewhat limited versions, the full versions have version numbers like 17, 18, etc.
Same as " LEIGH" still waiting activation code. Usually i don't have this kind of problem. Please review .

Strangely, like with the last Ashampoo GAOTD, everything goes normally until the moment I am supposed to receive the link, mails never arrive, even after actualizing the password, but any other mail (request, password changing) is quickly in my box...
Bizarrement, tout se passe normalement jusqu'à ce que je sois censé recevoir le lien d'activation, qui n'arrive jamais dans ma boîte de réception (même en actualisant mon mot de passe), alors que lorsque je laisse une réclamation sur le site je reçois tout de suite une réponse (à la même adresse), idem lorsque je change mon mot de passe.
La même chose était arrivée voici quelques semaines pour un autre logiciel Ashampoo, alors qu'auparavant ça n'arrivait jamais...
