File-based encryption for multiple users!

Configuration minimale:

Windows 2000/ 2003/ 2008/ XP (SP2 or later)/ Vista/ 7; 2GHz Intel/AMD processor or above; 512MB RAM (512MB or above recommended); 2GB space for installation

hi, hayhaypaula. I do appreciate that you have pointed out the gammatical errors on our page, and we will try our best to find and get them fixed.

BTW, AthTek Keylogger is mainly designed for parental control, and AthTek NetWalk would NEVER use any technology of the keylogger program, as well as the Skype Record. Please feel free to install it.

And the Skype Recorder is NOT used for illegal Skype calls recording. It just a kind of voice recorder for Skype users who who wants to take an audio notes. Thanks.

I'm just going to comment on some aspects of the installation, licensing, and price. AthTek NetWalk is available in two editions, the free Personal and the commercial Enterprise, which we are getting. However, the Enterprise Edition is licensed for $40/month, $300/year, and $500 lifetime. Their blog says that the GOTD version expires on December 31, 2012, so that's slightly longer than the $300 license, not the $500 lifetime license which GOTD lists at the top of this page. After that time, you'll have to purchase or switch to the free Personal Edition, which has restrictions. NetWalk uses WinPcap for capturing packets, in the past that didn't work on my computer with Agnitum Outpost, but I may not have tried WinPcap on Windows 7 with a different version of Outpost. It is disappointing that the company sells keyloggers and registry cleaners. Of course, anything which has unrestricted access to your network opens a security hole, whether or not there's any malicious software involved.

These types of utilities can be interesting for me to play with, but I'm not a networking expert and I don't have the type of network or network hardware which this is most applicable to. I already have a simplified view of network traffic from Outpost and cFosSpeed (beta trial). My router also has logs. I have networked and Internet-connected digital tuners, but those can't do anything harmful. Packet capturing and analysis can yield far more information, but that's not something which I need. Software can send anything out encrypted.

Because of the poor English, I can't tell whether AthTek is using any code from the open-source Wireshark. I'm not accusing AthTek of anything, merely noting that many giveaways violate open-source licensing and charge for code which they have no rights to. I also didn't notice any real reviews on other sites.

Just read their web page description of this software. I wasn't impressed when I saw the same type of grammatical error in the "user comment" as I noticed in the general description of this software (word should have been 'tools' and not 'tool' in both places)! Also, I am not sure I want to install software from a company that produces a key logger program, and a program to possibly illegally record VoIP calls. Why would they give away a $499 program?

Great software, thats if you have any clue as to what it does...and seeing 16 comments so far with no relevant information about the actual program, I'm guessing most people here won't find a use for it.
Installed fine on Win XP, activated with the reg code. During install the program asked if I wanted to force the install of winPcap which was already installed in the past with Wireshark. I skipped that part of the install. The program does install what looks like a subset of the Wireshark program version 1.4.2 (the current version of wireshark is 1.6.2).

In the Monitor Overview window, it shows the amount/percentage of network traffic going to various IP addresses/hosts, various packet data, and physical layer info.
The Layered View window gives a list of protocols, which you can select each one and see the amount of traffic using that protocol, plus errors/drops etc. I.e. SSH (secure shell) which I use regularly, DNS lookups, SMTP traffic, and of course HTTP (along with 20+ other protocols in the list).
The Monitor View - way cool. Gives a graphical real time display of the connections between your computers main network adapter and all the different websites/IP address it is accessing. Just going to Amazon website, it shows about 10 different hosts that are accessed.
Thanks for the software. For those of us who are interested in the network data this program can provide, its great. The average PC user may not find much use for this though. It definitely has a much nicer graphical display of data than what I've seen with Wireshark in the past.
The program does have some similarities with Capsa (#17) too, especially in the Monitor screen.

In spite of all the dire warnings I bravely went ahead and installed the software, the world didn't end, thank God for that!
Instead of entering into hell, I was greeted by a very pleasant looking program that offered more information about networks than I knew existed.
It would certainly help if someone who is heavily dependent on networks would give an unbiased opinion.
Most of the silliness regarding the other types of programs they write, and the various accusations against them, appear to me to be a concerted effort to undermine the integrity of the company. A rival perhaps!
