Hey Guys (Gals). Get this today if you do nothing else (Get this and you won't NEED to do anything else today). I cant stop laughing.
Using the effects that come with this software, you can copy, repeat, reverse, speed up, screw up any choice of music that you like and save it as a ring tone for the mobile. You can record voices and cause them to distort hilariously.
Sorry, just me being a big kid (Where's the harm in that) but I assure you all, this offering is a lot of fun but also does what it is supposed to without any side effects. The end product is as good as the original in quality and although I agree about the skin, the layout is well considered.
My only gripe is the lack of mouse control.
You can open, create, and save audio files in any of the supported formats (can also save any portion of a loaded file to disk as a new file);
Display audio data waveform (Zoom Full, Zoom In, Zoom Out, Zoom Vertical);
Play audio files or any portion of the files (Play, Pause, Stop);
Record audio from a microphone or any other available input device and save directly to WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, etc. files;
Edit audio files visually (Cut, Copy, Delete Selection, Delete Silence, Paste, Paste From File, Mix, Mix From File);
Apply various effects (Amplify, Compressor, Delay, Equalize, Fade In and Fade Out, Flanger, Invert, Normalize, Phaser, Reverb, Reverse, Silence, Shrink, Stretch, Vibrato, etc.) Great Fun!!!

After only using this software for five minutes, I've already decided to keep it. Perfect audio quality, and a decent set of other features is enough for anyone who does recordings. Runs fine on my (8 year old) PC, and no lag during recording. It's a keeper.
I think that this is actually a hair better then audacity. The UI is better, and it seems to have more features. Thanks Giveawayoftheday.
Sorry folks, I forgot to add the following.
1) On VISTA 32 bit extract th ZIP file fully.
2) Right-click and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
3) If you get any WINDOWS RegSvr errors click on IGNORE ( you may have to do this 2 or 3 times ).
4) When you go to the REGISTER menu item under HELP within the program put in the supplied registration details that are in the README file.
Audacity has a very awkward interface, so this is more friendly. My 'editor of choice' would be CoolEdit (no longer available, sadly) and the screenlayout is a mirror copy of that. This program handles editing very well, and would recommend it over Audacity.

J utilisais Audacity jusqu'a maintenant, hier j ai fait des tests avec et le bug que je vois c est que durant l enregistrement, les indicateurs de niveaux sonores disparaissent , l enregistrement continue quand même mais il faut s y habituer, il y a surement une raison à cela, ou est-ce un bug ?
Toutefois , les formats pour enregister et pour sauvegarder sont plus complets que dans Audacity. En tant qu audiophile très '' picky '' je dois admettre que la qualité sonore est plus dynamique que dans Audacity et presque sans bruit de fond (j ai laissé les réglages '' factory '' avant les tests) . Pour bien maitriser ce logiciel (en tant que néophyte comme moi) je crois qu il faut vraiment lire tout le livre de l utilisateur pour bien comprendre . Je donne une note globale de 7 sur 10 . La question est: ce logiciel vaut-il mieux qu'audacity? Si c'est effectivement un logiciel professionnel, c'est sans doute le cas. Mais l'est-ce vraiment? Quelqu'un est-il en mesure de m'éclairer à ce sujet?

pour le prog du jour oui la présentation est assez probante et le lien du site indique bien c fonctions mais le bémol ke je lui donne c kon ne pe pas "travailler" le son en live. si on veut modifier la réverbe par exemple il faut arrété l'écoute et modifier la réverbe et relancer l'écoute. c'est indigeste comme moyen de correction pour un pro de la zik le gars a besoin de travailler sur le son pendant k'il s'exprime. ben c un peu comme la "technike" des coms en ce moment ici lol ;-)
