I guess I'm a bit confused but exactly why would someone want to convert a PDF, which is usually loaded with text, to a video?
It just sounds stupid to me but maybe I'm missing something.

When I 1st saw this I thought: "Why in the world?" ... But FWIW, after thinking about it a bit I imagine it could have a niche market &/or following. According to the Boxoft PDF to Video site, the app creates video slideshows. PDF files can hold images. Video is for the most part really lousy at text. So if you have a bunch of images that you want to put into a slideshow, & they happen to be in the PDF format [rather than .jpg, .png, .bmp etc.], Boxoft PDF to Video saves you the step of separate conversions or screen shots to turn your PDFs into images.
Why would you have a bunch of images in the PDF format? Some scanners [stand-a-lone or all-in-one printers] can save scans as PDF files. A business might use PDF files for images because of both their portability & utility -- not every office PC/laptop is going to have an installed image viewer, while many home systems have had image formats hijacked by cataloging &/or editing software... it makes perfect sense for a real estate biz to have images of its properties as PDFs.
To 2 & 3. This is a useful program to transfer a presentation to a video file & then copy to a DVD so that the presentation can be played on any DVD player; as some people still don't have computers.
However, I must note that a previous Boxoft program installed a file that my anti-virus labels as malware.
I enjoy the various resources GAOTD makes available, many of which I wouldn't even have thought of needing/wanting which open new doors of exploration into productive and entertaining resources and which I often recommend to others after experiencing via GAOTD. But I'd have to honestly say a PDF to Video app is something I can't imagine having much of any market value for consumers, business, or even students worth producing a specifically focused product for. Perhaps they should just market it as a movie maker that happens to accept PDF files as a source as well.

Je m'attends cependant à du respect pour le francophone que je suis, pour les francophones qui se respectent (tant qu'aux autres...tapis, ils ne comprennent pas davantage qu'un...tapis, alors qu'ils se fassent aspirer comme la poussière!).

Bonjour; en général cela arrive (les deux versions française ou anglaise du texte) quand il s'agit de traduction automatique genre google par exemple. Ceci sert pour pouvoir retrouver le texte en langue originale au cas où le texte serait mal traduit.

Ah, quand curuiosité tu nous tiens,
J' ai fini par installer & enregistrer (OK - XP) mais je disposais déjà de “ghost script”… voir notamment US-#14 car Scribus en a besoin.
Je ne vais pas m' étendre mais ça fonctionne - ça reste un logiciel qui offre peu de choix du côté des options - SAUF de convertir un PDF en .avi (seul testé) .wmv .mpeg & éventuellement intercaler des images dans la découpe du PDF + 2 ou 3 autres trucs
Il reste à voir quelle utilité j' en aurai vraiment
Bon, je termine car je suis fatigué (tests) et de toutes les façons demain il sera trop tard.
PS : c' est une installation assez lourde, il m' a semblé MAIS OK.
Je vais sans doute le garder et +1 (pourquoi pas ?).

Parfois je fais le malin mais ici à propos de "Boxoft PDF To Video" je vais réfléchir - je ne comprends pas bien même en consultant le site - , car ceci pourrait être interessant (utilisateur de SCRIBUS qui exporte en PDF) & consulter US au long de la journée.

dû à un problème majeur avec l'activation de ThuderSoft Flash Slideshow Factory 2.5.0, (surtout sur Windows x64), nous l'avons remplacé par Boxoft PDF to Video.
Quant à ThuderSoft Flash Slideshow Factory, il sera de retour dès que les problèmes seront réglés.
