Up against its biggest competitor -- Ashampoo's outstanding Burning Studio -- Burnaware delivers comparable results with a comparable, and equally excellent, GUI. Between 'em, Burnaware and Ashampoo have signalled the demise of hyper-inflated stuff from Roxio and, even more notably, Nero, this latter the king of the castle until it followed Microsoft's example by introducing bloatware in hope of bloating its retail price.
I've used the two free versions of Burnaware and Burning Studio for years; where one couldn't manage the burn, the other did, and vice versa. What's worth noting here is this:

as is the fact that Burnaware Premium *is* rentalware, something which in principle I remain opposed to. Today's giveaway is valid, then, for 12 months only, after which it will revert to free anyway. (If you wish to continue on with Premium, then renewal will be at 50% of the cost of what the developer is charging at that time, so at least Burnaware is offering a fair deal for continuing usage.)
For those who need the additional two features of Premium over free -- disc to disc copying and audio extraction -- I haven't include the third here, because Burnaware's 'feature' of recovering unreadable discs isn't quantified nor can such ever be guaranteed -- then today's giveaway is an excellent one.
If not, then in my 'umble opinion, Burnaware's free version remains, along with Ashampoo's Burning Studio (under whatever name Ashampoo decides to give it: it won't be a version number, but a YEAR number) remain the two must-have burning tools in anyone's armory.
Many thanks, GOATD, and thanks, too, to Burnaware for the offer.

By receiving an email download link instead of having to use Facebook (which I refuse to join) to download the program, after clicking "Run", all I get is a notification box that tells me that Burn Aware is activated. But at this stage I have not been given the opportunity to install the program and I cannot find it installed on my computer.
This has happened on three previous programs I have tried to download over the past couple of months.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do to receive the program.

After trying many different programs for burning CDs and Dvds I find this piece of software to be one of the best around. I have been using the free version for a while and it is an excellent piece of software that have nothing to envy programs like Nero and other well known software that cost a bundle. I `ll try this version to see how much better it is than the free version.
