Software looks pretty cool, downloaded and installed with no problems. As someone who does a lot with images, I'll definitely have fun with this program. I like all of the effects that you can add, wish that there was a little more control over some of it, but it's still pretty cool (I would like to be able to specify where I want the lightning strikes). Saves as either .gif, video, or as a standalone which is pretty cool. Could very easily make my own screen savers. Thanks GOTD.
How does one go about ordering the "Extension Pack: Nature" at no cost, as is stated in the link?
Clicking on the "Purchase" button takes you to a checkout, where you are required to pay. Is there some other step I am missing. I am not going to pay for it, if it is supposed to be a free giveaway for today's GOTD...
Is there a key to enter later in the purchase steps? Not willing to start the process before knowing.

I always appreciate the free/alternatives that get listed on GAOTD and noticed this freebee from Microsoft hasn't been mentioned: Microsoft Research Cliplets. Its a small 64bit program that does the job.

I already have this from the previous give-away or a version like its - i'm very happy with it you can upload a black background and use the lightning animation on your picture with print screen and gimp its awesome..

Le logiciel en lui-même est très intuitif, pratique et simple à utiliser. Il y a peu de paramètres pour les animations, mais ils suffisent déjà à donner des résultats très corrects. Un petit bémol tout de même pour la qualité des fichiers en sortie, pas toujours au rendez-vous.
