Installed and registered without a problem on a Win 8.1.2 Pro 64 bit system.
A company without name and address. We had had version 2.0 on March 12, 2014. Here are the old reviews:

May I simply repeat?
This is done without problems. For those, who think that more colors in the folders means better organized, a good solution from a reliable producer (Theorex without name and address)
I prefer to give folders useful names, because in my age I simply forget, what was the reason for changing to red, green, blue, orange, azure, pink, violet, white or black and grey, and lemon or brown. And if I need different icon for high priority, normal priority or low priority folder, I have made something wrong in my task planning beforehand.
Uninstalled via reboot, after changing some directories to a full colored rainbow.
Did I mention, that you can do with your windows properties since ages?
Something to add...
Run the FolderIco.exe in the programs directory, if you want to change icons or add your own icons. You'll find zillions of bad-to-excellent free icons on the web.
And I want to point to a simple, but usefull tool. Probably you know it. Doesn't matter, I'll give the picture for those, who don't know about it:
A tool for monitoring changes in the files/folders
http://www1.xup.to/exec/ximg.php?fid=89083065
Pretty decent and handy tool today, especially if you love to keep your stuff organized and are used to classify your files by folders.
Personally I use another smarter technique to do that (oh yeah, Folders are just a memory of the past for me), but for what it does this GAOTD deserves a THUMBS UP!!
However, "Shedko Folderico 4 RC12" does even more for FREE:
http://eng.softq.org/folderico
That being said, WINDOWS already provides a massive range of icons (right-click on any folder, go to Properties, click on the Customize tab and then the Change Icon button to access the different icon available).
Don’t like Windows icons?? OK, no problem...

P.S. Hey Dadams, why the heck are you still using XP? Do you like the idea to have your system "doors" opened to hackers? I think you are the only one here to do use it yet! Be careful man while surfing!
A lot of people still use XP, which happens to be immune to the latest zero day virus being circulated (targeted at Vista and above). XP is stable, works well, doesn't require major hardware updates, and doesn't require hundreds of dollars in software, hardware, and retraining costs. These all sound like great reasons not to update just yet.
From the makers of Inpaint we have a new version of FolderIco. Please note this 3.0 version does not support XP. However the web site states XP users can still download and use version 2.o. Not sute if the activate.exe will work with this version.

Thank you GOTD team and TeoreX.
I've been using FolderIco for years and find it to be quite nice and useful little piece of software. It integrates itself in the right click menu so it’s really easy to use. I think it works best if you don't exaggerate with coloring every folder, because you will end up pretty much where you were. So, color the folders you use most frequently and/or by the content and you’ll spot them much faster. In my experience, 4-5 different colors should be enough for average user (like myself). There are also many folder symbols you can choose from, but colors are much easier to spot. You can use it to mark the folders on external drives, as well. In that case, the application will put a small, hidden .ini file in the root, so be careful not to delete it when you are cleaning up that drive or all color settings will be gone (on that drive only).
Cool
Merci
