This GAOTD is an excellent and reliable word processor, as part of the Kingsoft Office Suite, fully compatible with all Microsoft Word documents, even though it looks like (once again) only the STANDARD and limited version of the full program!!
So, given the limited features provided, I strongly believe that the following FREE (and PORTABLE) OFFICE SUITES (so not just Word Processor) are far better and more comprehensive than today's giveaway, not to mention they are also all fully updatable, unlike any program given away here!!!!
For instance, here you can find an incredible collection of great FREE Office Suites (Desktop & Portable Office Suites, Personal Finance Software etc...)

My favourite FREE Office Suite listed there is definitely "SSuite Office - Premium HD", the world's first free HD optimized office software suite!!
But "SSuite Office - Excalibur Release" is also a superb software!!

Where is the difference in Writer 8.0.3022 to the complete suite 8.1.0.3020 you published on GAOTD some time ago?
What happens to installed GAOTD Suite if i install this "updated" writer? Are the other components still working?
First thing I noticed is this giveaway is V(8.0.3022)
I have Kingsoft Office 2012 that comes with the Presentation, Spreadsheet, Writer and office tools, and my King soft writer is V(8.1.0.3020)
So I will not be needing this today
But I can say it is the only program I use for just about all the stuff I need to do,
The Writer is somewhat comparable with MS Office and open office,
I have all 3
but I prefer the Kingsoft writer over the other 2
I use it mostly to make my Ebooks for My KDP.Amazon account
it just seems to work better for me and it formats just the way I need it too,
so for my 2 cents worth it is a great writer to have

Downloaded and installed without hassle on my Win XP SP3 machine.
During setup it gives you the option to use the 2012 theme or the classic one. I opted for the 2012 look. It will show you a small preview of what each one looks like before you decide!
Once the program is opened, there is a button you can click on to change to classic if you find you don't like the look and feel of the 2012 version!
I tested a few paragraphs out and find that many of the features of this program are quite paralell with the Microsoft features.
All in all I find this program to be satisfactory, and am impressed with it's features. I think the price for this program is well worth it, especially when compared to Microsoft's prices!
You can't go wrong with this one!

There are 3 versions, Free, Standard and Pro, and comparing the 3, the free version seems adequate for most peoples basic needs. I've used this for about 3 months and it is very compatible with MS Office, looks good, had no problems.

en fait, ils ne font pas que débuter puisqu'il s'agit d'un fork d'open office, lui même issu de start office. (je parles bien sur de libre office)cette suite, puisqu'il s'agit d'une suite, existe sous quasiment tout les systèmes actuels et est plus que représenté.

soyez indulgent y parait que c'esyt principalement fait par des amateurs et que c'est gratuit ..et pas que le traitement de texte pour le même prix ( 0$ et en plus on y gagne avec le taux de change en euros) vous avez une suite bureautique complète.

Pourquoi semble-t-il aussi discret en ne nous proposant pas de copies d'écrans...?
D'ailleurs, je serais curieux de voir si le logo présenté avec chaque titre de programme (writer,...) est disponible avec ces programmes et en conformité avec ce qu'il représente ?

Attention ce n'est pas la suite bureautique gratuite, mais seulement Writer en version standard et non gratuite.
