I don't need a File encryption software. I have all my files in my home pc, i quite don't see how i can use this in a home environment or even in an office environment. Until and unless i have to share the pc with someone.

Re: momo. Do you have any important data? If yes, you need to back them up on the regular basis and keep the backup someplace else. So you need software that can produce encrypted backup and send it to a cloud storage.

momo , I believe you are a bit too optimistic about cloud security. When you send a file to a cloud, you send it to someone else's computer, period. Web storage providers can scan and analyze the contents of users' files (for instance, Google does that for targeted advertising).

One problem and thank you...
Portable version says "No appropriate licence found" and than "No product licence found" when I enter Customer ID Code.
On the other hand installed version works well and despite "GOTD Terms" its update subscription end January 2226 and Licence Expires: NEVER. Super...

luppusi, don't install the portable version on a fixed drive, it won't work. It should be installed on a removable drive (a flash stick, a USB-connected hard drive, and so on).

Can this program be used to encrypt files that you're sending to other people for them to open? Sometimes one sends files that need to be encrypted because they contain sensitive information and one might not want that email being intercepted by others trying to gain that sensitive info (i.e. credit info).

Jennifer, yes, of course, you can send encrypted file to another person. However our other product Silver Key http://www.kryptel.com/products/silverkey.php fits the task better (Silver Key giveaway event is planned for March).

Re: #3 from Hardgirl. Thanks for the good words! I'd recommend uninstalling the old version first. We had to migrate to another installer so there might be some glitches when installing over a too old version ('a few years old' IS too old for a software product).
