Does "1-year license" mean:
a) not usable after 1 year
or
b) no updates/support after 1 year (while the sw remains functional)

xilolee, this is a sensible question to ask on this page as the answer will affect all users, many of whom (such as myself) will be asking the same question. If the question is only sent to the support people then only commentor2018 will get the answer.
The question really ought to be addressed by the GOTD team as they may have a special arrangement with the software developer that is different from the standard product license.
As 1-year licenses seem to be becoming more frequent then GOTD should be able to anticipate the question and include specific details at the top of the page, along with the requirements etc.

Regular pricing is ridiculous. Free for students and teachers (why ?), otherwise 16 € per month, every month, for life. I wish software developers would stop charging preposterous amounts because someone, some day, invented the subscription model. I don't rent a screwdriver. I buy one.
PowerPoint Presentations are the thing of the past, our clients and I believe most of the other clients at the other companies want the bottom line first, they do not want to set time, travel, gather, listen on a persuasion that is all bundled in few pie charts and presented only the positive side of the arguments. Since everybody knows that the negative side will never be put in a presentation, nobody pays attention to the talk or laser pointing device on an outdated chart.
Our clients want the report on one typed page with all the facts condensed and warranted to be true. The presentation is just distraction and lies to pad the positive and hide the negative.
You do not have to agree to this statement, but I have worked for a number of companies and the moment someone mentions presentation, the clients are all of a sudden not interested in any deals offered to them.

Wow. PowerPoint presentations are lies and 1 page reports are truth.
In my experience, that distinction is more a function of the author than of the medium.

Alors c'est pas des plus heureux et des plus clair: une page web tout en anglais avec des champs adresse à remplir (hnnn) Adress et mail j'arrive à comprendre adresse mail (pour le reste: de la poésie)
enfin je reçois un lien de téléchargement , et! un code pour la licence bon bien

je lance ça vous prépare l 'install et le configure (un fichier .msi du pur Windows /Microsoft ça rassure) on lance et là le cluf (une soupe imbuvable et incompréhensible même si elle avait été en français mais là pour être plus dans l'air du temps c'est en anglais) bon allez on accepte
ça va prendre "several minutes"

allez on va faire un bon gros nettoyage et oublier le power-user...
tien comme je lui ai refilé mon email je pense que je vais etre pourri de spam , alors le truc bien avec Thunderbird ce sont les filtres (^_^) un petit filtre à l'entrée des message et on envoi sont courrier directement à la case poubelle sans passer par la case lecture et ne reçoit aucun intérêt ( un peu comme la prison au Monopoly)
et j'avais pas vu le prix 231$ waouh ça c'est du f...d.g.... alors pour les personne intéressées
