I have this version of this program already installed and I will be uninstalling it. I don't know if it's the program or something about my computer (Win 10-64) that's not right but several times I've noticed in task manager that Start Menu X is using over 25% of my cpu and I have to kill it.

I've tried this on several occasions and despite the bells and whistles, I always quickly come back to the free Classic Start Menu from Classic Shell.

It just does the job and does it well.

I use 5.87 all the time and think it's great, but found the 6.1 Giveaway used to lock up, so a bit nervous about this one... I'll let you know how I get on if I feel brave enough... but I can't find a "History of Changes" to know if 6.11 fixed anything that might be encouraging...
As I like 5.87 so much it's a cautious thumbs-up...

Comments from 6.1:
Okay, it stopped working for me after a little while (icon went dark and didn't respond, needed a task manager kill and ctrl-win to get Windows start menu to restart it) so make that "recommended with reservations". I'll still leave the thumbs-up as it might well just be my configuration (Win10 Pro x64).

Okay, it did it again, very quickly after my restarting it, so I'd say that IMHO if you have 5.87 from a previous give-away then stick with it...
I guess I can't reinstall 5.87 so am moving on without it.

It stopped working for me too on my Win 10 laptop. Went back to Classic Start menu.

I have been using 6.1 for a long while, having obtained it through GOTD. I am completely satisfied with it.

So, my issue is, why would I need to upgrade to 6.11? I've searched their website and can find no guidance. I'll check back here later today to see if anyone posts any good reason to "upgrade." Otherwise, I am going to not fix something that is not broken.

Looking forward to any comments. Wish the developer would comment.
