Outil de recherche de bureau au niveau des caractères pour le contenu du document sous Windows et Mac OS, prenant en charge PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint et d'autres formats.
La caractéristique principale est que TextSeek peut effectuer une recherche caractère par caractère sans omission, ce qui est très différent des outils d'indexation courants.
Il est ennuyeux de constater qu'après une longue recherche sur Windows, il n'y a aucun résultat, même certains fichiers sont juste sous votre nez. En introduisant un moteur d'indexation avancé, TextSeek peut surmonter ce problème. Il effectue une analyse de texte intégral en quelques secondes et affiche les résultats de la recherche comme Google.
Remarque: le programme comprend la licence de trois ans!

why does the program access the internet when I do a local search ?
I'm uncomfortable with the need to access the internet. Like others I want to know why. As good as this sounds I think I'll pass.
95 MB for a string search utility? Lots of semantic analysis of your data and phoning it home, looks like to me. Try Super Finder XT - free and fast and probably better privacy.
I have used this in the pastand it is ok, but its really no more powerful...even less actually...than many freely available applications that do essentially the same thing. Here are my picks for the PC (sorry Mac users):

There are probably many more that are as good or better than these, but these are ones that I have run through the paces and are my "go to" for this functionality. While I appreciate the GOTD model, sometimes there are winners and there are losers. This particular one is a loser, simply because the market is filled with free alternatives with greater utility.

Cette application est bien plus riche que ne le laisse supposer sa présentation.
Beaucoup de critiques que j'ai relevées sur le site anglophone sont injustifiées et les alternatives proposées ne sont pas comparables (hormis DocFetcher).
A tester pour ceux qui pensent en avoir une réelle utilité.
