I've been using the older version from GOTD. I don't use it often, but when I do it has not failed me. They have earned my confidence so I will see what the new version provides.

Jon651 here again with an installation report: Downloaded quickly with no problem. Program included the standard GOTD wrapper which posed no issues for me. Program extracted and installed as expected - what wasn't expected is that since I installed it over a previous version (3.8.0 I believe) that I got from GOTD it was automatically registered (no need to enter a new registration code). The only physical difference I notice is the updated version number. I considered clicking on "Remove License" and entering the new code but I'm not going to bother unless I find out that it doesn't work. I will look around for a recent movie to copy and see how it performs but based on my past experience I don't think I will have any problems.

On my old XP computer I have a version several years old that works terrific - the 2014 giveaway called Winx DVD Ripper Platinum. I have used it to backup some of my favorite movies. On my newer windows 10 computer I have a more recent Oct. 2018 WinX given away. That older 2014 app on XP has never had a problem and it works about two to three times faster at backing up a movie than the newer 2018 version that I have on my windows 10 computer. I purchased their Lifetime License in the newer version yet it asks me to re-register every few times I use it. The newer version, according to Windows Task Manager uses nearly four times as much CPU as the largest running apps. How does today's Copy Pro differ from Ripper? Do I get any additional benefit with Copy Pro over Ripper?
