I'm sorry,I forgot to add that it was the Developer's Homepage that was having capacity problems...everyone must have started looking at the developers homepage, like I do,to take a further look into the software. The following is a Quote from CNet@ Download.com,regarding this software: "CNET Editors' review
by: CNET staff on November 25, 2008
XYplorer is a versatile file management program that gives users plenty of options for organizing and maintaining their files. With both basic and more advanced features, this program is a good choice for users at all levels.
The program's interface is fairly attractive and intuitive. Frequently used functions are represented by nice graphical buttons, and other features are organized in drop-down menus. We liked that the interface is so customizable, with plenty of options for viewing and working with files. Users can view files as lists with or without details, or as icons or thumbnails. The dual-pane view allows users to work in two different areas of their machines at once, easily moving files between them, and an optional info panel provides detailed information about each file. As for features, XYplorer has plenty. Some are quite simple: users can search files, color-code file names and add comments, and create lists of favorite files and folders. More experienced (or adventurous) users will enjoy being able to automate tasks using the program's scripting feature, and we especially appreciated the crash course in scripting that the built-in Help file provides. The program seems to have been designed with the needs of both novice and advanced users in mind, and it balances these two ends of the spectrum well."

Years ago the developer used to offer Xyplorer Free version but has been discontinued since. I used their free version for years before I finally purchased their lifetime license version.
This is my most favorite utility. Cannot live without it. Better than Windows Explorer because it allows me to create dual panels and unlimited windows folder tabs (which is like opening multiple windows explorers except all in one windows) and allow easy file copy and move. Best of all, I can quickly preview files without leaving the program. It's like having a video/music player, image player, MS doc reader, txt reader, and windows properties all-in-one spot.
Highly recommend everyone to give this one a try especially since it is offered for free today. I paid for mine already but I never regret since the developer is very active in releasing new versions and bug fix at least once a month!!!
Vista 32bit. Downloaded and Installed flawlessly (activation on install). Really appreciate Donald Lessau's attitude on registration (unlimited use for this version - pay for updates), however, since GAOTD, will not be able to reinstall if computer crashes in the future since the downloaded installer will fail at the GAOTD check. However (again, sorry), installed just fine on my USB drive so portable (just install to USB and be sure not to check the "do not install shortcuts" option) so actually available anytime in the future via that route.
Many more features than the best free Windows Explorer alternative (Explorer++), very small, fast, efficient. Worked well on all the tasks I asked of it. Worked equally as well from USB and from host computer. Could come to become one of my favorites in the future if it continues as it has been for the past half hour. A keeper! Thanks Donald Lessau and GAOTD!!
Believe me when I say: you must grab this one while you can.
I'm shocked, I just can't trust my eyes for now as I'm reading: "...-free licensed software daily. XYplorer 10.80..."
If you simply don't like the way Win7 own file manager has evolved, grab this one. Now.
If you are a photographer who simply wished for an easier way to batch manage your thousands and thousands of precious photos, don't even try to think about - download, use it and consider an upgrade of your license as soon as you can.
Yes, guys, this is the REAL thing - the Pro license. Another thing I just can't believe, so consider being generous on this one.
That means you'll have XY full firepower and yes, it has firepower to deal with the most common file management situations like renaming common [01] number indicators to something else more in your standards or getting your pics exif info and attaching part of it as name complement to more complex stuff like auto distributing your files based on total size/first char (alphabetic folder sorting)/name of musician (in case of music) each folder must have, splitting a selection on several remote target folders at once, auto renaming several files based off their contents or scan a system after overlong names and doing auto-renaming or moving according to specific rules and criteria you define. All of this thanks to XY scripting, that's it. There's almost no limits on what this feature has to offer so your wish is your command. Automate each and every aspect of your digital life when it comes to spending time behind a monitor, you'd be surprised on what can be done.
System admins and business owners will simply love the admin features, the world *must* know about them.
Custom Toolbar Buttons are given to accommodate your commands and allow for custom keyboard shortcuts. *EVERYTHING* can be granted such shortcuts by the way.
Continued development is key here - Donald Lessau, XY lone author and genius, is a very creative, committed person which is open to ideas and considers users needs seriously almost all of the time. There are times when you are given almost one beta a day, or 3 of them on a single day. Bug fixes come in hours depending on complexity involved. It's just amazing.
On the downside, no dual tree ("but you have MiniTree", one may say - but it's NOT a replacement!), native x64 support and some glitches considering system folders.
There's plenty (yes, tons of them!) more features you'll find useful so check it out for more on the following link: http://xyplorer.com/whatsnew.php
Write down your critiques and doubts and monitor this page, knowing Don as I do I'd bet he'll be ready to answer almost each and every one of them sooner or later.

And again - don't miss this chance. I mean: what your still waiting for? lol
Excellent Program - having used this program for several years already, I cannot recommend it highly enough. I also appreciate that the developer is constantly providing upgrades and is very responsive to any requests for help. I am sure I only use a small part of the options available but if you really want to customise your explorer, there is almost no end to the various options.
Aussi bien que le freeware Q-Dir, le "français" en moins.

Totalcommander : ancien mais très complet. Freecommander en est une version simplifiée.

J'avais testé XYplorer 10.70; moins impressionnant que free commander gratuit et en français.
