Giving the control over the opacity of the controls definitely makes sense.
The controls look good over animated landscapes since they all made with large space for the sky.
But for the custom photo landscapes sometimes it is very hard to read the weather information.
This feature is planned.
On the other hand we are trying to keep the number of app controls to the minimum to keep it simple.
In the end it's just a fun weather app.
Regarding anonymity.
There are a lot of people on the net. Some of them may not be as good as we expect.
The privacy of my family is more important for me than the income from the project.
I'm not disclosing the address if it is not required by the law.

Installed and registered without problems on a WIn 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system. A clean install.

Some time ago, I had installed the free version for a very short time. The reason was simple: I didn't like the graphics and I was missing things like rain radar and satellite images.
The focus is still on the graphics, If you like these nicely made paintings (childish in my eyes), you will love this software. You can add of course additional real landscapes from here:

A nicely made weather application. The focus is more on the graphics than in weather details.

On my "main" computer, I use Faronics Deep Freeze. The best in my private opinion. On others I use the free Toolwiz Time Freeze. An easy to handle application. Other OP systems run under Oracle Virtual Box. I have no single system, where changes to the Op-system are real. And if you are curious... I had my last problem with a virus (or something like that) back to 1986. At that time I learned a lesson for the rest of my life.

A while ago, during the iGoogle days, I produced my own start page using a widget supplied by YO-Window (which conforms to their usage requirements!). On my old computer its a little CPU intensive but well worth it. I think it's great, so I will definitely be downloading this app.

@ norolo...J'ai donné un avis positif sur YoWindow parce que je l'ai depuis plusieurs années...Désolé pour la clé que vous n'arrivai pas à obtenir mais 9.98 USD, c'est pas la ruine, non ? A part ça, bon logiciel que vous pouvez personnaliser à l'envie, avec quelques bugs mais rien n'est parfait.
