A good product for editing MP3 files, but not good for the novice!
Pros
You can edit multiple MP3 files at once.
Zortam has a pretty good online MP3 autotagger from then net
(as long as you have an artist name and title; does not scan the audio like MusicBrainz Picard - wish they had this feature as well)
You can also rename multiple file names in one swoop.
Things don't change much from update to update.
Not intended to be a MP3 player - more for a ID3 Tagger.
Scrolling lyrics while music is playing.
Cons
Program sometimes crashes for no reason. you can't move around the boxes.
Music player could be improved better.
Only works with MP3 files. No other file formats.
Be sure to save older versions of this program and you should be fine. This program is not for newbies - you need to read the instructions on how to use it properly.
I have a large MP3 library so I was interested to give Zortam MP3 Media Studio a trial. Installation was quick. It found the first 17,000 MPs at a cracking pace - and then it hung. I waited about 8 minutes for it to recover before closing it with Process Lasso.
I was willing to forgive this glitch given the large amount of data it had read, until I restarted the program and discovered that it hadn't saved a thing. Apparently it is set to discover every MP3 that it can before saving any data. This really isn't ideal. However I am willing to try again, because the program looks very useful.
However there's something I need to know first! #8 Mike H (or anybody that can confirm or disconfirm his statement) please explain why you said "BE CAREFUL, it is set to overwrite your existing tags by default". I can't see the relevant option in the options menu.
If this program does start amending files without asking permission that is a huge no-no. I'd like to clarify this before running it again. Thanks for any information.
It was offered last November and reviews there might be useful.

I have been using this program from it's earlier giveaways. I will agree with the fact that it's definitely not for those with little computer knowledge. But, with that said, it is a great program for the advanced user. Locating tags from the web is easy and relatively fast. You even have a choice as to what tags you want to add. One of the downsides is that it's a bit on the hard side to view multiple files at the same time.
I would suggest this program for those that are serious about their collection as it does have a pretty heavy learning curve.
if you need good tag editor, I'd recommend free TigoTago:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Tag-Editors/TigoTago.shtml
I like it for user friendly spreadsheet-like interface
And for Winamp fans or anybody else looking for good music player I'd recommend (previously mentioned here) AIMP:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Players/AIMP-Classic.shtml
similar look and feel as AIMP (many skins available too), but not so blated as latest versions of Winamp.
or have a look at Jaangle (formerly Teen Spirit)

or, of course VLC media player
resp.
